Sheehan Charitable Foundation Awards More Than Half a Million in Grants to Hamilton County Organizations

Hamilton County Community Foundation (HCCF) is proud to announce that the Thomas P. and Sondra D. Sheehan Charitable Foundation, a supporting organization of HCCF, has awarded $300,000 to support medical assistance for children, and its Timothy John Sheehan Memorial Endowment Fund provided $240,000 in grants to local nonprofits for organizational support.

“Every grant we provide reflects the values my parents, Tom and Soni Sheehan, cherished: compassion, community, and a dedication to helping others,” said Tracey Sheehan, Board Chair of the Sheehan Charitable Foundation. “It is a privilege to carry on their legacy by supporting organizations that are making a meaningful impact in the lives of children. These grants honor their memory and continue the work they started to build a stronger Hamilton County.”

A few organizations that received funding include:

Boys and Girls Club of Noblesville – The Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville (BGCN) has provided opportunities for youth to enjoy activities and experiences that shape character since 1951. Serving youth from kindergarten to 12th grade, the BGCN provides positive and engaging programs that enrich the lives of a diverse group of members.

Children’s Organ Transplant Association – COTA can help remove the financial barriers to a life-saving transplant by providing fundraising assistance and family support. They work with families whose children and young adults are on a transplant journey.

Indiana Canine Assistance Network – ICAN trains several types of service dogs to help people find new perspectives, purpose, and hope. Their accredited service dog training and placement program provides independence to those in need and helps our clients overcome challenges.

The Thomas P. and Sondra D. Sheehan Charitable Foundation believes every person deserves the opportunity to live a happy, productive life. The foundation supports organizations that remove barriers, provide vital assistance, and encourage the growth and development of children and other life-affirming community efforts.

“Hamilton County Community Foundation is honored to serve as a trusted steward of the Sheehan family’s charitable vision,” said Danielle Stiles-Polk, president of Hamilton County Community Foundation. “These grants reflect the family’s enduring commitment to children and families, and we are grateful to walk alongside them in advancing such meaningful work in our community.”
