Focus areas

Affordable Housing

Affordable housing is essential to a thriving community, yet many Hamilton County residents spend more than half their income on housing. HCCF supports efforts that increase access to safe, stable, and affordable housing so individuals and families can live with dignity and build a stronger future.

Education and Training

Strong educational and career pathways are key to economic opportunity in Hamilton County. Yet over 1,000 youth between ages 16–19 are disconnected from both school and work, and only 74% of high school graduates pursue postsecondary education—down from 83% in 2016. HCCF supports programs that close these gaps by preparing students and adults for meaningful employment and lifelong success.

Social Services

While Hamilton County is often seen as prosperous, over 21,000 residents experience food insecurity and others face barriers to healthcare, mental health services, and financial stability. Social service organizations are critical in meeting these basic needs, but many are under-resourced. HCCF strengthens the nonprofit sector to ensure individuals and families can access the support they need to thrive.

Trinity Free Clinic

Childcare Solutions

Only 29% of children in Hamilton County have access to high-quality childcare, with affordability and availability as major challenges—especially in communities like Arcadia, Sheridan, and Cicero. Without reliable care, parents struggle to maintain employment or pursue further education. HCCF invests in solutions that expand access to affordable, high-quality childcare, helping both children and working families succeed.
