Hamilton County Flood Relief Fund
After recent flooding in Hamilton County, the Hamilton County Community Foundation established the Hamilton County Flood Relief Fund to support local residents and communities as they recover and rebuild.
Donations to the fund will support flood relief and recovery efforts throughout Hamilton County, with resources directed where the need is greatest. 100% of donations to the fund will go toward local flood relief and recovery.

Yes. Donations to the Hamilton County Flood Relief Fund are restricted for flood relief and recovery efforts in Hamilton County.
The only fee that may be deducted from a donation is a standard credit card processing fee when a donor chooses not to cover the processing fee at the time of their gift. There are no additional fees assessed by the Foundation, and there are no fees associated with other donation methods.
The Hamilton County Community Foundation is working closely with local government agencies, Hamilton County, and nonprofit organizations to stay connected to community needs and help ensure funds are directed where they can be used effectively for flood relief and recovery.
HCCF will partner with local nonprofits working with those affected by the flood. Additionally, HCCF is a member of the the Long Term Recovery Group, which will follow the Indiana Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (INVOAD) model. To address emergent needs, HCCF also established emergency funds with township trustees in affected areas that have opted to use donated funds to support their constituents.
Need Flood Relief or Recovery Assistance?
If you or someone you know has been affected by the flooding, help is available.
Hamilton County has established a flood assistance hotline at 317-645-3261 for help with food, shelter, cleanup supplies and other needs.
Residents should also report flood damage by calling 2-1-1, which helps connect residents with available resources and supports ongoing damage assessment and recovery efforts.
Long-Term Flood Recovery
Recovery takes time, and no one should have to face it alone.
HCCF is helping coordinate the Hamilton County Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG), a community partnership connecting local nonprofits, government agencies, faith communities, businesses and other organizations.
The LTRG will help flood-impacted households:
- Assess their needs through trained Disaster Case Managers
- Develop a recovery plan based on their individual circumstances
- Connect with available resources, including insurance and government assistance
- Address remaining unmet needs when other resources are not enough
Long-term recovery funds will focus on verified, disaster-related needs, with particular attention to uninsured and underinsured households. Assistance may include housing repairs, rebuilding, essential materials and other needs related to returning to safe, stable housing.
HCCF will serve as the fiscal agent for the LTRG, helping manage philanthropic resources and support a coordinated, community-wide recovery effort.
