Hamilton County Master Gardeners: Growing Knowledge, Serving Community

The Hamilton County Master Gardener Association is a volunteer organization committed to environmental stewardship and hands-on service within our community. After completing comprehensive training through Purdue Extension, our dedicated Master Gardeners apply their knowledge to a diverse range of local projects.

  • Provide educational workshops
  • Staff horticulture hotlines
  • Maintain public demonstration gardens
  • Actively participate in programs that promote food security and sustainable gardening practices
  • Provide scholarships to those pursuing degrees in horticulture, botany, landscape architecture/design or an agriculture or environmental science that includes a plant-focused component

Our year-round efforts serve to enhance the beauty, health, and ecological resilience of Hamilton County. Funding and contributions directly support our public-facing initiatives, including the purchase of materials for demonstration gardens, educational supplies for community programs, and professional development for our volunteers to ensure we continue to provide the highest quality, research-backed advice.
